July 2008 - Our visit to the project "A Roda do Sol" in Brazil

"Joao arrived at the project during the week we were visiting. He lost his mum at age 10 and had no one to look after him for a year until he found the project. We were so touched by the many stories of abandoned and neglected children. We hope to continue to help and support the project in an even deeper way. We were also ever so grateful for the welcoming and how much we have learned from the wonderful community APOITCHA. Also our dearest friend Lilian Galvao who supports so many children with the project " A Roda do Sol". God bless her and her wonderful work. And Thank you to Jen Gould and Celia McKenna for embarking with us in this journey. We know their lives have been touched and changed forever with the experience."

Tears came down as project works and children, circled around co-founders Claudia Goncalves and Mark Halliday and sang the humminbird song of gooodby from their heart. A memory they will treasure forever.
