Award for All funding for our Community Woodland PARTY Project

The CFPH was successful in gaining grant funding from AWARDS FOR ALL financed by big lottery.  This was for £8,825 to enable us start our Community Woodland Party Project. Part of the grant is for a 19 feet yurt to be the base for the project. We have engaged a few people interested in volunteering with the project to receive training on Permaculture with Alistair Tailor this year. We are also exploring “The Art of Mentoring” programme as a base idea for running our project wich is family orientated.  

We are putting a lot of thoughts into the programme to better serve the needs of our community.

Some changes and improvements to make the woodland more accessible to our community include: building 5 small bridges, buying and setting up the yurt, installing a wood burn stove, toilet and clearing the dead wood around the area.

Once the winter is over and planning has been finalised we will then implement the project. It will run in 2012 once a Month.  We will keep looking into other grants to hopefully continue the project after that.
