Health and Well-being
A team of professional therapists volunteer for the project. The intent is to give from the heart to the community, making the therapies available to all. Appointments: Mondays to Thursdays 10am, 11:30pm, 1pm
Donations: £8 / £10 / £12. People on low benefits: £5
We work largely without grants relying mostly on volunteers and donations.

WHO QUALIFIES: People on low income or benefits, senior citizens and young people, children accompanied by a parent, carers, people with mental health issues, people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, substance misuse, asylum seeker or refugee and minority ethnic group.

* If you cancel you must give 24hrs notice or £5 charge applies.
* Some of the therapies can change or more be added according to therapiest volunteering for the project.

HOLISTIC COMMUNITY HEALTH PROJECT The Health Project brings Holistic Therapies and Treatments to people on low income who feel the need for a comforting, relaxing and gentle therapy to help them deal with wellbeing issues.Normally you choose the therapy that you feel most drawn to, as we feel this is best and most empowering for you. If you are unsure however, and would like extra help in choosing, you will be helped to decide the best therapy for you. All users will also have a Personal Planning Programme in the Project. Who can benefit?People who are on low income, senior citizens, young and unwaged, homeless or at risk of homelessness, asylum seeker or refugee and people who are from a minority ethnic group. Holistic therapies can balance your energy system helping you to help yourself and take charge of your own wellbeing The Therapiesare given by a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated therapists who volunteer in the project. Therapies may help and support you if you are affected by life changing illnesses like: mental health problems, cancer, depression, or are dealing with substance misuse, coping with loss or bereavement. Therapies may also help you with conditions such as:
As well as being therapeutic in their own right, holistic therapies are excellent complement to orthodox medicine. Always ask advice from your doctor or specialist regarding an existing medical condition. What does it cost?We ask for a donation depending on what you can afford: £8, £10 or £15. If you are on very low income: £5 How do I qualify?You can refer yourself or you can be referred by your health worker, doctor or other agency. You will need to give us some simple information about your health and status. Young people and children under 16 may also access the project when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
