HOLISTIC COMMUNITY HEALTH PROJECT

The Health Project brings Holistic Therapies and Treatments to people on low income who feel the need for a comforting, relaxing and gentle therapy to help them deal with wellbeing issues.

Normally you choose the therapy that you feel most drawn to, as we feel this is best and most empowering for you. If you are unsure however, and would like extra help in choosing, you will be helped to decide the best therapy for you. All users will also have a Personal Planning Programme in the Project.

Who can benefit?

People who are on low income, senior citizens, young and unwaged, homeless or at risk of homelessness, asylum seeker or refugee and people who are from a minority ethnic group.

Holistic therapies can balance your energy system helping you to help yourself and take charge of your own wellbeing

The Therapies

are given by a team of well qualified, experienced and dedicated therapists who volunteer in the project.

Therapies may help and support you if you are affected by life changing illnesses like: mental health problems, cancer, depression, or are dealing with substance misuse, coping with loss or bereavement.

Therapies may also help you with conditions such as:

  • Lack of Confidence
  • Nervousness and Anxiety
  • Skin and hair conditions
  • Tension and stress
  • Disturbed Sleep
  • Eyestrain and headached
  • Moodiness and low energy
  • Chronic conditions: Arthritis, pain, etc.
  • Lack of direction and clarity

As well as being therapeutic in their own right, holistic therapies are excellent complement to orthodox medicine. Always ask advice from your doctor or specialist regarding an existing medical condition.
