Reiki is a hands on healing technique over 2000 years old. It is a natural non invasive therapy that supports the whole person with many benefits, both physical and psychological. Reiki was re-discovered by Dr. MIKAO USUI in Japan and conbines life forces that are present in all living things. Natural Healing - harnessing body energy and removing blocks to the natural movement of energy through the body. Through its action Reiki promotes both physical and mental well-being. Reiki can stimulate the body’s natural healing properties and is fully complementary to any other treatment. With the warmth, reassurance and healing power of human touch, it is a holistic treatment, helping to heal the whole person.
REIKI I: £90. Concessions also available.
The First Degree REIKI training covers:
1. What REIKI is and how it flows
2. Balancing the students to allow them to channel REIKI
3. The Five principals of REIKI
4. It's limitations and contra indications
5. Instructions on positions for treatment
6. Treatment given and received, including on yourself
Participants will be given a manual and a certificate issued on followed case studies.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Ann Fowler is a Reiki Master/Teacher who have been practicing for over 10 years mainly in Edinburgh and District. She has been working from the Foundation for over 3 years, privately and in the Holistic Community Health Project. Ann is a mother, a grandmother and is always fully present with an open heart ready to help others. Ann has been working at the Foundation since October 2007 as a Holistic Therapist at the Community Health Project.
Denise Jones is a Reiki Master/Teacher member of the Institute of Complementary and Holistic Therapists who have been a practising therapist for over 10 years and believes that a therapist has a duty to deliver best practice. She takes part in regular training and information sessions and believes that keeping up to date and exploring new therapies together with ongoing improvement is an essential part of good practice. Denise has been working at the Foundation since April 2009 as the coordinator for the Holistic Community Health Project.
